Summary
This post will support:
• Upper gastrointestinal (UGI) cancer patients from GP referral through the care treatment pathway and support lower gastrointestinal (LGI) cancer patients on stratified follow up.
• Urology cancer patients
The Support Worker will work in close unison with the Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) to ensure the coordination and management of patients at all points of their treatment.
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Trust for two full time Macmillan Cancer Support workers.
This role will be integral for supporting the multidisciplinary team approach in caring for the physical, social and psychological needs of patients diagnosed with gastroenterology/ urology cancer and their carers.
