Summary
Trainee Laboratory and site technician
No experience necessary as full training will be provided.
Manual driving licence is essential.
CSCS preferred but not essential.
The primary function of the Laboratory and Site Technician is to complete geotechnical and materials testing in accordance with relevant British / European Standards or in-house procedures. both within a laboratory environment and on a site based capacity.
Main duties and responsibilities on completion of training -
• Undertake and assist in laboratory and site testing to relevant British and
European Standards both within the laboratory and across the UK
• Undertake the training required on the testing of soils, rock and aggregates.
• Undergo ongoing audits on competence to progress position banding.
• Assist in the recording of and complete daily checks of lab environment and
site recorded data
• Ensure all paperwork is submitted promptly and that it is legible.
• Work competently both under instruction from line management and
unsupervised.
Successful candidates will have good communication skills, analytically minded, have the ability and willingness to learn, they will also have a good grasp of the English language (reading/writing)
