Summary


The job will be both managerial as the successful candidate will be line manager to the 3 band 6's, the job will also involve working with children and young adults with complex needs alongside fitting newly diagnosed newborns found through NHSP.
Chief Paediatric Audiologist - Band 7

This exciting role is working within a small friendly Paediatric Audiology team. The post is based at the Children's Crystal Development Centre. A multidisciplinary team centre, including community paediatricians, children's ENT, children’s physiotherapy and occupational therapy, for children within the Croydon area.

The post holder will be involved in the behavioural assessment and rehabilitation plus monitoring of children of all ages, the service provides both temporary and permanent hearing aids. The children monitored include those with temporary and permanent hearing loss and children with more complex needs. The centre works towards best practice guidelines and available standards. The post holder will act as deputy for the Head of Paediatric Audiology and will be involved in both managerial and clinical roles.

We have a Consultant Audiovestibular physician who performs the aetiological investigations on our caseload and have a close working relationship with the hearing support services for Croydon.
