Summary
Are you a Mechanical Bias Engineer looking for a role based on days? Do you have experience working in a heavy engineering environment such as Foundry, Forging or Steel? Then we have a fantastic opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting for a heavy engineering manufacturer based locally to Smethwick looking to add to the maintenance team.
What will your day to day activities as a Maintenance Engineer include?
This permanent position will be based locally to Smethwick working day shifts. This role will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance working alongside a team. You will be working on a variety of heavy machinery so must be a versatile engineer. This role will be responsible for machinery such as band saws, presses, furnaces and much more.
What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?
• A strong mechanical background with recent experience in a similar position.
• Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience is desirable.
• Experience working in a foundry, forge or similar is essential to be considered.
• Mechanical qualifications, from either an apprenticeship or college level course.
• Any additional qualifications such as FLT or OHC would be advantageous but not essential.
• Health and safety awareness.
• A hardworking mentality.
• An honest and reliable personality.
• Any leadership experience is desirable but not essential.
