Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced North Indian Specialist Curry Chef to join our culinary team at House of Flavours. The Specialist Curry Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic North Indian curry dishes, showcasing the rich Flavors, aromas, and culinary traditions of the region. This role requires expertise in North Indian cuisine, creativity, and a passion for delivering high-quality, flavourful dishes.

Curry Preparation and Cooking:
• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic North Indian curry dishes, including vegetarian, meat, and seafood options.
• Use traditional North Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques to enhance the flavour and aroma of curry dishes.
• Ensure that all curry dishes are cooked to perfection, with the right balance of Flavors, textures, and spices.

Menu Development and Innovation:
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team to develop and refine the restaurant's North Indian curry menu.
• Create innovative and enticing curry recipes that showcase the diversity and richness of North Indian cuisine.
• Stay updated on food trends, ingredients, and techniques to continuously improve and evolve our curry offerings.

Ingredient Selection and Management:
• Source high-quality, fresh ingredients for curry preparation, including spices, vegetables, meats, and seafood.
• Ensure that all ingredients are safely stored, handled, and used in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the kitchen manager to order supplies and ingredients as needed.

Quality Control and Presentation:
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste for all North Indian curry dishes.
• Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure consistency and adherence to recipe standards.
• Plate and present curry dishes in an appealing and attractive manner, following established plating guidelines.
• Kitchen Operations and Team Collaboration:
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service hours.
• Communicate effectively with other chefs and kitchen team members to coordinate tasks and prioritize orders.
• Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff, including training on curry preparation techniques and recipes.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Curry Chef or Specialist Curry Chef, with a focus on North Indian cuisine.
• Extensive knowledge of North Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
• Strong culinary skills and creativity in recipe development and menu planning.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary school.
