Summary

Role: Junior Project Manager
Reports to: Senior Project Manager
Salary: £28k – £34k plus overtime
Based: North London HQ & on-site in UK and overseas as required
Working Hours: Hours of work are an average of 40 hours per week. The role will also require some flexibility to allow for irregular hours, weekends/bank holidays and work on-site.

The Role
Junior Project Manager is a dynamic, all-encompassing role responsible for the design, assisting project management and delivery of high-profile events and exhibitions. The role is hands-on, requiring the successful applicant to work closely with the team clients in realising their vision. They will assist with project R&D, design development and the production of technical drawings for bespoke build elements. Working with the wider team including the Workshop will assist with oversee the production of project elements in the workshop and manage the onsite build and installation from start to finish – including health & safety, client liaison and quality assurance.

The position is based at our North London HQ and workshops, however, will also require travel to project sites within the UK and overseas. Reporting directly to our senior project manager, this is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of this family business and offers the chance to grow your role, learn and advance in the field.

This role would suit a recent university leaver or someone looking to start working towards becoming a project manager.

Key Responsibilities

Exhibitions, Events and Special Projects
• Working with individual arts and antique dealers to realise projects at their showrooms or onsite at fairs – this could include bespoke cabinet making, temporary exhibition installation or large stands at high-profile art fairs including TEFAF, Photo London and Collect.
• Working with fair organisers and production companies to assist entire fair builds – from administration through to onsite installation of customisable shell-scheme of up to 5000 sqm, often in challenging/sensitive venues.
• Project planning & delivery – translating client ideas into reality inc. production drawings & CAD, estimates & quoting.
• Ensure all project details are with the Office Manager for invoicing in a timely manner.
• Produce production/project schedules, compile and update H&S documentation/RAMS for specific projects and implement specified procedures onsite

Essential Qualities for Applicants
• Some project experience with a focus on large scale exhibitions and events and/or on bespoke project builds, produced to a high standard
• Experience of working with diverse teams in terms of skill, expertise and ability
• Experience in creating construction drawings and briefing technical teams in how to realise project elements effectively.
• Experience in a customer facing position would be helpful.
• Attention to detail and high-standards of quality and output.
• Organised and efficient with excellent time management and ability to multi task/prioritise effectively
• Ability to work and react to tight deadlines, keeping calm under pressure
• Flexibility in response to business needs
• In line with the ethos of the company, a desire to ‘get stuck in’ and ‘get the job done’
• A team player with strong people skills and ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to work autonomously
• Willing and able to work out-of-hours and occasional weekends as required both in the office and onsite
• Good working knowledge of SketchUp & AutoCAD is a bonus.
• Confident in use of Word, Excel, Outlook etc.


Desirable Qualities
• Experience and working knowledge of specific technical skillsets including joinery, lighting design and focusing, etc.
• Arts market, gallery, exhibition and live events experience
• Confident, a good relationship builder
