Summary


The Dermatology Department consists of specialist clinics providing diagnostic and therapeutic treatments. We require a motivated and enthusiastic person with previous health care experience in the last two years to join our team in Dermatology providing clinical support to both the nursing and medical staff.

Previous Dermatology experience not essential however awareness into understanding Dermatological conditions desirable.

The post holder is responsible for assisting in all areas within dermatology providing diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, including and not limited to Phototherapy, minor surgery, dermatology treatment clinics.

To provide support assistance and advice to patients with their topical treatments.

To follow and adhere to predetermined policies of the department.

Develop new skills, Knowledge and competencies relevant to sphere of work and speciality.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team fostering good interdepartmental relationships.

Assist with and provide support for Dermatology outpatient clinics, providing support to medical staff in clinic.

Promote Dermatology patient surveys utilising feedback to improve patient experience through customer care training and action plans.

Participate in health promotion activities in order to raise professional and public awareness of skin disease, skin cancer and skin cancer prevention.

Ensure all records relating to patient care are accurate, clear, concise, legible and in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

Participate in audits of practice including infection prevention and control initiatives.

Ensure effective communication is achieved and maintained of sensitive information regarding patient assessments and clinical details.

Develop and maintain effective communication links with all levels of staff within the trust and external agencies.
