Summary

Location: Workington
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Degree qualified
- Chartered status
- Nuclear experience or in another highly regulated industry
- Proven success in managing projects
- Experience in equipment design
- Knowledge of quality assurance
- Good market and commercial knowledge
- Proven management techniques
- Understanding of industry regulations
- IOSH managing safely certificate
Ideally applicants should also have:

- Minimum 5 years in a highly regulated industry
- Experience with heavy equipment

Role information:

- Ensure health and safety legislation and processes are adhered to
- Provide detailed workshop planning derived from project drawings
- Liaise with the planning team to determine the most cost effective and efficient plans
- Use 3D modelling programs to develop production diagrams
- Monitor production performance and highlight areas for improvement
- Liaise with stakeholders to implement a design strategy
- Lead a team of design engineers to ensure the effective delivery of multi-disciplined projects
- Liaise with the project team to identify issues with equipment design and rectify said issues
- Review and approve contracts and cost estimates
