We are bound by the MoC, which means pay rates are capped. Whist we are able to pay up to £40, this rate is for those deemed to be at Qualified Social Work Practitioner level with over 2 years experience. Please ensure your candidates are aware that the pay rate they request may not be the rate they are offered; managers are assessing skills and competency at interview. If the candidate is being offered less than requested, we will make the reasoning clear whilst providing feedback.

Location - Bridge House Worthing, but need to travel across West Sussex and occasionally beyond
Working arrangements - Mix of home and office will need to be in the office at least 2 days a week - The worker needs to be able to do social supervision.

Job Description :
In this exciting opportunity, you will be required to undertake a full range of social work tasks independently and provide an accountable statutory social work service to those people who access or need the service, to include assessment, planning, reviewing and safeguarding enquiries. You will act with integrity, professionalism, and respect on behalf of the organisation, always ensuring that the needs of individuals are paramount.
You will deal with varied and complex cases, working alongside other agencies, dealing with complex family dynamics, managing complex risk levels, and considering legal issues. You will work collaboratively with individuals and family or friend carers to identify people’s strengths, networks, and community assets. You will work effectively in partnership with other staff and voluntary agencies and demonstrate a good understanding of all the relevant health, voluntary and private services in the area.
You will remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation and adhere to organisational procedures, policies and codes of conduct as well as Social Work England professional standards in order to uphold a high-quality, seamless service. You will be expected to work within organisational, policy and legislative requirements. You’ll be a lead professional responsible for supporting the Team Manager and other members of the team in delivering the service as set out in the Service Level Agreement.
This includes being responsible for leading on a specialist area of service delivery, ensuring that key developments are communicated to colleagues and that business change is successfully implemented. The role is also responsible for leading on a varied, complex and challenging portfolio of casework and providing supervision, expertise and guidance on casework to colleagues. The post holder may also act as Social Supervisor under Section 37/41 Mental Health Act reporting to the Ministry of Justice.
