We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Environmental Health Officer - Grade 1 (Grade K) to join our team in the Environmental Services industry. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our communities and environment by enforcing regulations and monitoring compliance with environmental standards.
As an Environmental Health Officer - Grade 1, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, investigations, and assessments related to environmental health hazards. This will involve conducting site visits, collecting and analyzing samples, and providing recommendations for remediation and prevention. You will also be responsible for educating and providing guidance to businesses and individuals on environmental health regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of public and private properties to assess environmental health risks
Investigate complaints related to environmental health hazards and take appropriate actions
Collect and analyze samples of soil, water, air, and other mediums to determine pollution levels and identify sources
Review plans and permits for compliance with environmental health regulations
Develop and implement strategies for the prevention, control, and elimination of environmental health hazards
Provide recommendations and guidance to businesses and individuals on environmental health practices and regulations
Collaborate with other government agencies and stakeholders to address environmental health issues
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field
Certification as an Environmental Health Officer
Strong knowledge of environmental health regulations and standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various sites as required
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £28.88
