Summary

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Deputy Manager to work full time based in a Children’s home in Ipswich.

The salary for this permanent Deputy Manager job is up to £40,000

Main Duties:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation/management of an Ofsted regulated residential provision on behalf of the Registered Manager
• Ensuring the highest standards of emotional, social, and physical care, promoting best outcomes for young people through research, development, and partnership
• Developing and delivering highly motivated leadership and development to the team, role modelling best practice
• Maximizing resources within planned timescales to deliver services that respect children's rights and participation
• Working to ensure compliance with Ofsted registration and the home’s Statement of Purpose
• Acting promptly on safeguarding risks and maintaining effective communication with agencies and internal reports

Requirements of this job:

• Level 5 Diploma Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to undertake
• Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care
• Ability to show leadership skills
• Experience of managing budgets
• Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
