Job PurposeThis is primarily a static engineer vacancy at Vulcan House, Sheffield S3 8ND though you will also be part of an out of hours on call rota for the region.Provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to our clients. Form part of a team of multi-skilled technical support staff, ensuring that the service provided meets the contractual requirements and complies with relevant law at all times.
Main DutiesEnsure that the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of building maintenance are completed in line with our contractual obligationsEnsure all assets are maintained in accordance with the O&M ManualsAssist in supervising contractors and sub-contractors and ensure compliance with all statutory obligationsEnsure that all reactive calls are closed out in line with our contractual time scalesEnsure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and Company policy. (Fire regulations, COSHH, Safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing etc)Ensure all building fabric elements are functional and operational within design parameters and carry out reactive repairs within agreed response and rectification timesKeep all plant/rooms / services enclosures clean, tidy safe and secureAssist other engineers / staff with their duties as requiredUndertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during the course of your working shiftBe aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in
What we are looking forTime served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification in HVAC.Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract.Flexibility and adaptability to change / flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.Must be available to join a call out rota.Due to contractual requirements, the ability to pass designated security clearances is a pre job offer requisite followed by a Home Office security check.Must hold a valid full UK driving licence and passport.
