Summary

Overview: As a Motorhome Cleaner/Valeter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our hire fleet of motorhomes to ensure an exceptional experience for our customers. This role is crucial in upholding our company's standards of cleanliness and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and Sanitizing:
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize the interior and exterior of motorhomes between rentals.
• Vacuum carpets, upholstery, and mattresses to remove dirt, debris, and allergens.
• Wipe down surfaces, including countertops, tables, and appliances, using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Wash the exterior of the motorhome using the pressure washer.

2. Restocking Supplies:
• Restock motorhomes with essential supplies such as toilet paper, cleaning products, and disposable amenities.
• Check inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Carry out laundry duties (washing bedding/towels etc), manage the drying of laundry and fold items neatly away in the storeroom.
• Wash and dry motorhome crockery, dishes and utensils.

3. Minor Maintenance:
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, batteries, and air fresheners.
• Report any damages or issues with motorhomes to the hires manager for prompt resolution.

4. Vehicle Inspection:
• Carry out pre-hire checks (oil, screen wash, tyres, etc)
• Conduct pre and post-rental inspections to identify any damages or cleanliness issues.
• Document and report any damages or maintenance requirements accurately and promptly.

5. Customer Interaction:
• Greet customers professionally and assist them with any questions or concerns regarding the cleanliness of their motorhome.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and requests courteously and promptly.
The above list is not exhaustive, and you may be asked to undertake additional duties as the hires department develops and grows.

Essential Skills:
• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Desirable Skills:
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.

Working Conditions:
• The role involves working in various weather conditions and environments, including outdoors.
• May require standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Protective gear such as gloves and masks may be required when handling cleaning agents or using the pressure washer.


Starting date: April 2024

Type of contract: Part time seasonal contract. (April – Sept inclusive).

Hours of work: Approx 10am – 2pm over 3 days (12hrs per week minimum). Additional hours may be available subject to hire bookings. Some flexibility to stay after 2pm, if needed to finish turnarounds, would be helpful.

Rota A = Mon, Tues, Sat
Rota B = Thurs, Fri, Sat

Salary: £12.00 per hr.
