What is the Role?

Our Marketing Team Leader - Communications & Operations, will be a main stakeholder in the design and execution of personal and adaptable communications for retention and acquisition of customer base. You'll lead a team of copy writers, designers and specialists who create all the Below-The-Line (BTL) communications for SSE, email, and print, across GB and Ireland. In this role you will:

- take responsibility for planning, prioritising and resourcing workload

- lead campaigns and communications programmes

- ensure all communications are consistent and adhere to our brand and tone of voice guidelines

- deliver all operational communications in support of the ECS business driving base engagement

- support the team to be creative and seek out process and customer experience improvements

- manage multiple projects across various stakeholders and geographies, always ensuring accurate delivery and delivering positive Return on Investment

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- experience in the development, rollout, and continuous improvement of BTL marketing campaigns

- demonstrable people management skills, preferably across multiple geographies and within a hybrid working model

- a deep understanding of customer journeys, best practice models and EDM / DM strategies

- proven expertise in email and communications, with project management and prioritisation experience

- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and persuade the business around a vision

- an understanding of the Utility Sector and an appreciation for delivering great Customer Experience

This role will require regular travel between SSE sites in the UK and Ireland.
