Summary
Are you a Fitter seeking a new opportunity? Have you considered an opportunity within the Construction industry? Currently seeking a Fitter on a permanent basis to join a growing engineering business based in Northern Ireland.
As a Plant Fitter you will work Monday-Thursday 7.55am-16.45, Friday 7.55am-13.45pm and have an initial salary of £26364. Overtime is available and rates are time and a half midweek and double time Sundays.
The successful candidate will initially be based in Dunmurry Plant Department working as part of a busy workshop but will be expected to travel as part of their role. This will be to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by chargehand fitter.
Transport will be provided.
As a Plant Fitter your role will include various tasks such as:
- Your role will involve maintenance of a wide range of equipment and routine servicing, including fault identification, analysis to facilitate repairs, improvements, inspections, adjustments, testing and refurbishments to agreed standards.
- You will be required to work closely with the charge hand fitter to help provide support on several Engineering contracts.
- General maintenance and refurbishment
- Adherence to all Company Health and Safety standards and actively promote safe working practices on the use of machinery and equipment.
Competencies Required
- NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance (or equivalent)
- An appropriate and valid CSCS/ CSR card (Desirable)
- Full clean driving licence (Essential)
- Experience and knowledge of working in a workshop environment, plant, heavy vehicle, or farming background.
- Experience of working on telehandlers, excavators, hydraulic systems, fabricating and welding.
