You will be joining a leading global business, with an excellent reputation for its excellent working environment and culture. The company is growing at an excellent rate and is developing its footprint by building a 'centre of excellence' from their recently acquired Manchester office.
Your new role
You will be tasked initially with building a brand new qualified team, alongside supporting the Director of SSC in the transition from their already established UK based Shared Service Centre. This will include adhering to a strict time line to produce a robust UK consolidated P&L month-end close (based upon business accounting team inputs), balance sheet and cash flow statement. You will be the main point of contact for Group FP&A for Group Consolidation, alongside supporting statutory reporting, tax and treasury teams. Group Accounting policy and UK GAAP will also fall within your remit of responsibility. You will be the key decision maker in defining new ways of working alongside the Director of SSC and driving best practice around behaviours and the culture.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with previous experience of dealing within complex accounting structures within a Share Service Centre. You'll have strong communication skills and be able to adapt and communicate with colleagues/stakeholders at various levels. You'll have a strong personality, produce competency and behaviour frameworks, with the ability to influence and drive decisions in a qualified team.
