Holy Family Primary School is a denominational primary school serving the communities of Winchburgh in West Lothian and Kirkliston in Edinburgh. In August 2022, the school moved into a state of the art new building with 8 classrooms and a new Early Learning and Childcare setting.

We have a school roll of 170 pupils arranged into 8 classes and an ELC class of 32 children. Our new building places us in an outstanding education and learning community comprising of Holy Family Primary and ELC, Sinclair Academy and Winchburgh Academy.

Our school is an integral part of the local community both educationally and socially. There are active and effective Parish-Community links through St. Philomena’s Parish Church in Winchburgh. We enjoy strong links with our cluster primary schools, our Parent Council and our partner agencies. We also enjoy strong links with Winchburgh Primary School and Winchburgh Academy.

Holy Family offers children a wide range of learning experiences. We manage continuous improvement through robust self-evaluation and implementation of the school improvement plan

The successful candidates will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
