Summary
We are looking for mechanical vehicle technicians/production operatives for the Supacat Build Project onsite in Devonport dockyard.
The Supacat contract is the production and manufacture of high-performance military vehicles (Jackal).
Babcock are working with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Supacat, to build a brand-new production line in Devonport, Plymouth to produce Jackal’s which are high performance military vehicles.
The Jackal is designed to protect military personnel serving in volatile environments and can protect against roadside explosions and mine attacks.
You must have a good understanding of H&S in an industrial environment and be capable of undertaking manual handling activities along with the ability to understand work instructions and read engineering manuals and drawings.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in working with hand tools and workshop equipment.
To meet the requirements of this role you must possess Level 2 qualifications in an engineering discipline or have undertaken a foundation apprenticeship.
