Summary

The Trust provides maternity care to over 16,500 women including a homebirth service on all 3 sites. Our client group includes many women with complex clinical conditions to support our care of both mum and baby we have a Level 3 Neonatal Unit situated at the Royal London Site, a level 2 Neonatal Unit situated at the Newham Site and we have excellent facilities in Fetal Medicine. At the other end of the spectrum, we have 2 stand-alone midwifery-led Birth Centre’s one of which is situated in the Isle of Dogs and the other situated Barking. In addition, we have two co-located Birth Centre’s.

To provide comprehensive midwifery care to women undergoing Elective Caesarean Sections (ELCS). To provide the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.

These Band 6 posts are suitable for Registered Midwives with more than 12 months of post-qualification experience. This is a core post, however there may be times where you will work in the obstetric-led Delivery Suite and other clinical areas to ensure the continued provision of safe maternity care throughout the Unit.
