Construction

Our client, a Construction Subcontractor based in West Sussex, are currently looking for a brand new CAD Technician to join their team covering drylining, commercial and construction projects.

They provide a tailored service to their clients on interior fit out and drylining projects and are proud of the level of service their clients receive and as such are looking for an individual that pays attention to detail and takes pride in their work.

My client are actively on the lookout for an CAD Technician who wants to work in a supportive environment that is gearing up for unprecedented growth.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;

  • Engage with the Design Manager and Designers to support the detailed design of our projects.
  • Aid any contribution to the business support standards e.g. design deliverables, material schedules and specifications.
  • The production of detailed design CAD drawings.
  • Updating and communicating revision changes through the Design Deliverable matrix and client data systems.
  • Work with manufacturer technical teams to deliver compliant design details.
  • Review proposed design details with line manager and stakeholders.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure a high level of health and safety is upheld wherever possible.
  • Ensure design risk identification is captured on design CAD details where required.

Quality:

  • Support the Company to uphold the highest standards possible.
  • Ensure all design is compliant to the clients requirements, legislation and manufacturer systems where applicable.
  • Work to the business support documents and BMS.
  • Identify any quality concerns with detail production to the design manager.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to engage with supplier's and consultants.
  • Knowledge of the drywall, SFS and ceilings market and products.
  • Genuine commitment to compliant delivery of services.
  • Experience with Autocad software.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Professional qualifications in technical scope.
  • Knowledge of BIM.
