Summary


The Endoscopy Programme Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of setting up, embedding and developing the Hampshire and Isle of Wight (H&IOW) Endoscopy Network as well as undertaking analysis and improvement work with endoscopy services accross the Wessex geography.

You will be part of the wider Wessex Cancer Alliance (WCA) team who together provide expertise and support accross all facets of cancer services wokring with all stakeholder groups locally and also working with regional and national colleagues as part of the wider cancer agenda.

The WCA team work flexibly and you will be able to blend working from home, office based working, along with the requirement to work on site with our service delivery providers which is an important part of our approach to working with our partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• You will work with the Chair andClinical Lead for the Endoscopy Network to develop and set up an Endoscopy Network for the H&IOW patch. You will then be responsible for the smooth running and administration of those Network meetings and for taking forward actions, communication and engagement required as a result of Network discussion.
• Work with endoscopy teams across Wessex to map, baseline and analyse existing services and work with them to design, agree and implement plans to develop services.
• Be able to influence others to implement change at many levels, from local department improvements to broad implementation of national initiatives and directives. Developing positive and effective relationships and building trust will be a key part in being successful in this role.

You will ensure that the patient and our population at large, remain at the heart of all the work you do, explicitly seeking feedback, co-designing, and collaborating with the public and the WCA patient and public group to shape the pathway work.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy, shaping the Endoscopy Network and endoscopy service development plans.
• Be a strong leader, with a sense of vocation and a strong value set, driven to improve cancer services for our population.
• You will have a strong NHS background and ideally a working understanding of endoscopy services.
• You will need to be able and happy to travel as part of this role as working on site with our service delivery teams to design and implement improvements is a core part of this role. This means working across the breadth of Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
