Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 8a principal clinical scientist role. This position would be in the North West GLH Manchester site. The individual must have extensive experience in rare disease or cancer genomic diagnostic delivery. In addition they should have or be working towards FRCPath part 1.

You will be required to show that you are dynamic and highly motivated with a proven, high level of scientific skill and expertise. You will be responsible for managing a team of HCPC registered Clinical Scientists to deliver and develop the diagnostic workload and to develop the workforce. HCPC Registration as a Clinical Scientist in the modality of Genetics is Mandatory. You will have achieved success in the first written examination component of the FRCPath examination (Genetics, or Molecular Genetics, or Cytogenetics) or be actively working towards this.

The role will be based at our Manchester laboratory site.
