Excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Fit Out company
The Company
Established for over 50 years, we are a family run business and quality is at the very heart of what we do. We work on varied projects across many sectors including retail, hospitality and leisure for high end clients including Harrods, Qatar Airways, BA and Wagamama. We are specialists at Fit Out in UK airports with many years’ experience at Heathrow and other UK airports.
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team with experience of working on full Fit Out projects in fast-moving sectors such as retail. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working in an airport environment.
Role and responsibilities
• Estimating new enquiries, including take offs of drawings, getting prices for subcontractor packages and preparing and submitting the tender.
• Once project is live, work with Project Manager to ensure subcontractor and materials orders are placed on time and in line with tender.
• Attend relevant meetings with clients, PQS, CA and other client representatives during the project, updating as required on contractual and financial issues.
• Conduct subcontract valuations and make payment recommendations. Issue payment or pay less notices in line with contract requirements.
• Conduct monthly project valuations up to and including final account ensuring all variations are included and making L&E and EOT claims as required
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project is being delivered within budget.
This is an interesting and varied role where every day is different, working as part of a friendly, supportive team. It is primarily based in the Swindon head office, with regular site visits and the possibility of home working.
Experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor on Fit Out projects is essential.
