We are seeking a Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations and overall management of Elmwood nursery, which is located within Carshalton College.

Working closely with the Head of Student Support Services and the Deputy Manager, the Nursery Manage will ensure the smooth functioning of the nursery whilst upholding high standards of care, education and safety for children aged 0-5 years. You’ll also be the designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCO Lead, ensuring the welfare and protection of all children in the nursery.

As our Nursery Manager, we ask that you hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare as well as a Designated Safeguarding Lead certificate. You’ll have knowledge of the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs and development of children from 3 months to 5 years and have experience of supporting children with SEND.

As this is a management position, you’ll need to possess experience as a Leader / Manager within a nursery setting and have a comprehensive understanding of finances, child to staff ratio’s, fees, invoicing, staff supervision, parental partnership, food hygiene, staff wellbeing, providing quality care and education and adhering to the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
