Summary

Academic Appointments are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants/Behaviour Support Workers to work on short to Long term assignments within a 4-16 aged Pupil Referral unit within the Wakefield area.

This particular School is looking for experienced Behaviour Support Workers ideally with a valid Team Teach qualification. The students in the PRU have been identified with Emotional, Social, Behavioural or Mental Health issues students may also have a Moderate Learning Difficulty, ASD ADHD or OCD.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of working effectively with Primary and Secondary aged pupils
A clear understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
Ability to build effective relationships with the Pupils
A Keen interest in an extra-curricular activity
Experience in a PRU/SEND or with Challenging behaviour
Valid Team Teach Certificate or the willing to undergo the course
