Job Role: Floating Support Worker
Salary: £27,000 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: South West - Covering Exeter, Dorset, Somerset and Basingstoke
Additional information:
- A valid license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work out of hours, evenings, and weekends on occasions depending on the needs of the project


The Role:
Our Floating Support Worker will play a pivotal role in delivering assistance across multiple locations and services, providing crucial support where additional staff are needed. Your responsibilities may vary from working in our Exeter Supported Housing project one week to participating in Outreach sessions in Weymouth the next. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a wide array of sectors within our charity.


The ideal candidate will have an interest and passion for a diverse range of social issues and supporting individuals. You will need to demonstrate good organisation and planning, with flexibility and adaptability to a changing work pattern/location at short notice.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide cover to services based in Exeter, Dorset, Somerset, and Basingstoke - including Outreach, Supported Housing, Criminal Justice, Domestic Violence and Substance Misuse
- Manage incidents and safeguarding ensuring action is taken and followed up
- Ensure all clients are provided with a high-quality person-centered service
- Keep all administrative tasks and records are kept up to date ensuring data is inputted accurately
- Any other duties within the scope of the post as directed by management


Qualifications / Requirements:
- A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
- Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours
