Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team at ROXY AVENUE. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing person-centered care to individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and autism. As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead by example, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of support to enhance their well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to support workers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care.
Conduct regular one-on-one supervisions, team meetings, and training sessions.
Person-Centered Care:
Collaborate with residents, families, and the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the dignity and autonomy of residents.
Clinical Support:
Assist in the coordination and implementation of clinical support plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring that care plans are regularly reviewed and updated.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open communication with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with the care team, healthcare professionals, and external partners to optimise the overall well-being of residents.
Training and Development:
Participate in the training and development of support workers, ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Lead by example, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.
Quality Assurance:
Contribute to quality assurance processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in audits and inspections.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or a similar role in a care home setting.
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
