Summary

Doing Amazing Things Together

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Are you someone who can’t sit still and are always on the go? Do you love spending time with animals?

And patience. Do you have patience and empathy?

Become a Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and encouraging to join our fantastic team in Sheffield. We support one lady, who lives in a rural area of S8 and is very active and outgoing.

You will be working in her home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. Our lady loves to get out into the community, likes swimming, horse riding and regularly works on a farm. This position is for someone who loves all animals and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and mucking in! If you are good at cooking, managing a budget, or just passionate about helping others, then you could be part of our team supporting people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best life!

If you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week including long days and alternate weekends. For this role we need you to be a driver with a full UK driving licence and have access to you own car due to travel across Sheffield. You will be supporting across multiple locations in S8, S2, S10, S12 and S11.

Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all swimming and horse-riding. We also support people to take medication, assist with personal care, make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way that they feel safe, well and happy.

It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!

If you want to empower people to live the life they choose, and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
