Summary


We are looking to recruit 2 permanent Band 6 qualified practitioners who are enthusiastic and highly motivated to join our busy team and who have a passion and desire to work with individuals in crisis within the community delivering a caring and safe service.

You will be joining a supportive and passionate team, who will support you through an induction , so that you can familiarise yourself with local provisions and services.

The service triages and assesses all urgent and emergency referrals to identify the most appropriate service to meet individual need when persons are experiencing a mental health crisis. This involves telephone triage, support and signposting and face to face full needs assessment care planning and referring on to relevant services.
• The post will be within the Borough Wide Services portfolio and the successful person will be required to demonstrate their confidence as a mental health practitioner with excellent and robust assessment and risk management skills and can manage complex situations and work well under pressure.
• The post will involve flexible duty rota covering Home Treatment seven days a week 9am-7pm but also Crisis Teams shifts which are operational throughout a 24-hour period including night shifts.



This is an exciting time to work in Rotherham Urgent care services. We comprise of Crisis, Home Treatment and Hospital Liaison. We have strong links with the inpatient units, and the Locality teams. We also work closely with Partner agencies and third sector organisations to ensure we provide a comprehensive service to our community.

There are exciting nationwide developments in Crisis care, and we are committed to working with the Primary Care Networks maximise our resources to manage crisis situations.

We are looking for passionate, reliable and progressive staff who work within a strengths and recovery based approach.

Liaison with families and supporting their understanding of crisis management is an important part of the role.

The post will require individuals to work alongside partner organisations, third sector and peer support services, transparency and openness is vital.
