An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen to join the Gynaecology Management team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a focused and highly motivated individual to join the management team in the role of Service Support Manager. Working closely with the Service Manager, the Service Support Manager will take responsibility for the day to day operational management of gynaecology, delivering high quality patient services within the resource available.

The Service Support Manager will drive the operational delivery of the key national performance targets (e.g. 18 week RTT and Cancer standards) and be responsible for performance, ensuring Patient Tracking Lists for Inpatients, Outpatients, Diagnostics and Cancer are routinely validated so that patients can access services and be treated within national and local targets.

Working closely with clinical colleagues and administrative team, the Service Support Manager will ensure we continue to deliver high quality care to our patients.

The main duties of the role will be:-

- To provide leadership and management within the services and line manage & develop the Administration Managers.

- To assist the Service Manager to drive the operational delivery of the key national performance targets (e.g. 18 week RTT and Cancer standards).

- To build positive working relationships within the services and across the Cluster management team.

- To deputise for the Service Manager as required.

- To motivate, influence, inspire and lead others to improve the service provided and service performance to meet targets.

- To develop and manage administrative systems and processes to support delivery of required services / performance targets.

- To have day to day responsibility for the Patient Tracking Lists for Inpatients, Outpatients, Diagnostics and Cancer and ensuring that these are routinely validated so that patients can access services and be treated within national and local guidelines.

- To ensure that the turnaround times for clinical correspondence, results management and response times to patient enquiries are delivered, taking corrective action to remedy where performance is compromised.

- Contribute to the identification of performance objectives and operationally manage their delivery within the service reporting to the Service Manager.
