Summary
Teaching Personnel
We are currently looking for a determined, motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one of our roles as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a Primary School Year 3 class within the Newport area. The school has explicitly stated the desire to have permanent and consistent support for the individual throughout their duration in school. It is imperative for us and the school that the educator filling the role is empathetic, patient and has a positive approach to every situation.
Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Newport
Salary: £11.85 per hour
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: As soon as possible
Whilst previous experience is not essential for the role, it is preferred. Previous experience can come in the forms of; childcare/carer work, sports coach, support worker, previous Teaching Assistant work etc.
To be a successful applicant for this 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Register for a Child workforce only Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service.
- Register to the EWC (Education Workforce Council), we can assist with these two steps.
- Be able to provide 2 professional based references covering the last 24 months.
Roles and responsibilities of the role are, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the pupil and ensuring they stay engaged throughout the course of the day
- Ensuring there is a positive mindset and attitude toward work
- Be understanding and patient in different scenarios
- Coordinate and work alongside the Teacher to ensure the organisation and preparation of the classroom
- Create and build upon relationships with the Teacher, pupils and parents.
