Your role and responsibilities
- based in Suffolk Archive's flagship venue, The Hold, you will be the first point of contact for all of Suffolk Archives' third-party commercial hire enquiries
- you will offer excellent customer service to all potential and established commercial clients and have the opportunity to work with a range of organisations and individuals
- utilise your sales and events management experience to help Suffolk Archives achieve its ambitious income-generation targets and support the overall financial resilience of the Service
- work with individuals and departments from across Suffolk Archives and Suffolk County Council, using your excellent organisational skills to deliver professional and successful commercial events and activities at The Hold.

You will need:
- experience in delivering events from concept to completion, either in paid or unpaid work
- our ideal candidate will feel comfortable meeting new and potential clients regularly and confidently sell The Hold as a centre for excellence
- sales and customer service experience from any sector or background would suit the role and training can be provided to translate your skills to a commercial environment
- either an events management qualification or demonstrable experience in delivering polished, well-organised and successful events
- to be a solution-oriented thinker who will enjoy collaborating with clients and colleagues to produce successful commercial events and activities.

The team
- You will join the Commercial Team and support the Service's financial resilience.
- Suffolk Archives is a welcoming and warm place to work and we offer unique training and skills development opportunities for those who are interested in history and archives.
- You will be expected to be on-site to deliver site visits and live events and will have the ability to determine your work-from-home days to suit the commercial objectives of the team. Due to the nature of events regular weekend (including Bank Holidays) and evening work will be an essential requirement of the post.
