Liverpool Adult Learning Service have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational English tutor to join our dedicated team and deliver high quality courses in a variety of settings across the city.

The Service provides vocational and community learning, employability, and wellbeing courses alongside English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), English, maths and digital skills for adults who are 19+.
What you’ll need
You will:
Be qualified to teach adults
Be an experienced teacher of Functional Skills and/or GCSE English in post 16.
Be a flexible and creative tutor
Have excellent communication and digital skills
Be an enthusiastic, dedicated practitioner, motivated to make a difference to local communities
Responsibilities
You will:
Teach a maximum of 24 hours a week in a variety of contexts and locations
Plan and deliver high quality relevant learning activities
Provide initial advice, guidance and assessment for learners
Participate in quality assurance activity and follow all quality processes
Keep updated, take part in cpd and comply with assessment procedures and requirements
There is a need for flexibility around working locations and working hours, including evenings and weekends.
The Post is for 35 hours per week term time only.
