This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.
We are looking to recruit a full-time, permanent project manager to join our Children and Families project management team.
You will drive forward projects to ensure we make a difference for children and young people in the city.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will lead, plan and manage projects across Children and Families Services.
Working as part of the project management team, you will be responsible for complex projects, often cutting across more than one service area to achieve the objectives set out in our strategies and improvement plans.
We are looking for someone who is adaptable, organised, flexible and innovative to be able to deliver results within a local authority project framework. The team (including this post) has adopted a hybrid working model, splitting its time between an office base and working from home on a flexible basis (this could vary from project to project, but 3-4 days per week working from home is not uncommon).
ABOUT YOU
You will have:
• An extensive project management background and/or transferable skills from other relevant managerial experience
• Prince 2 and/or equivalent programme/project management qualification
• Experience of working with Local Authorities and/or other public sector organisations and key stakeholders
• A high degree of interpersonal skills
• Experience of delivering complex projects
• A flexible approach to work.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact Joanna Ray at Joanna.ray@stoke.gov.uk.
Please note that if an employee who is currently at risk of redundancy within the organisation applies for this vacancy their application will receive priority. If this happens you will be advised accordingly.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Stoke-on-Trent City Council values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this – we therefore encourage applications from all sections of our community. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed together.
