As part of the new RESILIENCE Centre of Excellence for UK Medicines Manufacturing Skills funded by Innovate UK and the Office for Life Sciences we are seeking two new trainers to the NHC team. The RESILIENCE Centre of Excellence for UK Medicines Manufacturing Skills will deliver training and outreach materials and programmes that addresses skills demands in the life sciences sector. The programme is being delivered in collaboration with University College London, University of Birmingham, Heriot-Watt University and Britest. The Centre will work with healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations to provide a single-entry point for training and career input including a pipeline of continuing professional development courses.

In this role, you will work collaboratively to deliver high quality training and outreach to support the production and delivery of future medicines. With a background in molecular biology, biotechnology, analytical chemistry or manufacturing you will support skills training that spans the entire careers pipeline for industry, academia and NHS, sharing best practice and adopting state of-the-art approaches to training delivery e.g. in person technical training, virtual reality and mixed reality (VR/MR), to drive digital transformation and net zero practices.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with industrial experience in process development, analytical techniques, quality control or regulatory environments in the biopharmaceutical sector. Prior experience of manufacturing monoclonal antibodies; or cell and gene therapies; or vaccines, is highly desirable.
