Summary

A fantastic opportunity for a Wedding and Events Coordinator to join our 4-star hotel in Pontyclun!

This role is on a 37.5 hours per week contract, and you will earn up to £28,000 per annum

Flexibility to work weekends are a must in this role, as those days are the busiest for our Weddings.

The Role

Ideally you will have some experience within a hotel environment. As the Wedding and Events Coordinator you will meet potential customers, conduct show rounds and promote the hotel. A sales or retail background would also be advantageous to the role. you will be responsible for planning and coordinating various types of events, including weddings, corporate events, conferences, parties, and other special occasions.

A hands on approach alongside natural leadership skills will make you a perfect fit for this role.

Duties would include:

Efficiently run a busy wedding/event covering every stage of enquiry
Monitor / respond to all requests
Review current events and make sure all details are accurate
Proactively monitor key wedding planning dates, conduct final details meetings, produce the wedding or event brief and ensure all event instructions are communicated effectively to other departments
Collect interim and final payments
Support and interact with all the staff
Work in collaboration with the all teams to coordinate the weddings and events
Run the wedding on the day with front of house team.
The ideal candidate should be friendly, well-presented, and possess excellent organisational skills, demonstrating confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment while being flexible in working hours and days, maintaining professionalism, fostering teamwork, and exhibiting effective communication, supervisory, and problem-solving abilities.
