About Us
Barnsley Recovery Steps is dedicated to providing vital support to individuals on their journey to recovery from substance misuse. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a part time Recovery Navigator. As a Recovery Navigator, you will play a crucial role in offering guidance, support, and resources to service users, helping them on their path to recovery.

What is HOPE?
Our Hope Recovery Navigators at Barnsley Recovery Steps are essential guides for individuals on their journey. Our compassionate professionals offer personalised support, aiding in goal-setting, treatment plan navigation, and accessing resources. With a deep understanding of substance use complexities, they provide empathy and encouragement, fostering a collaborative relationship that empowers individuals to make meaningful strides in their recovery journey. Through their unwavering commitment and expertise, Hope Recovery Navigators significantly contribute to the success and well-being of those on the path to recovery.

Main Duties:
-Manage a varied caseload of clients and support them in achieving recovery.
-Support service users in accessing resources and services to increase their recovery capital and achieve recovery goals.
-Work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to managers and colleagues.
-Comply with monitoring and evaluation systems, collect and monitor information, and provide reports when required.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational guidelines.
-Comply with the organisation's Code of Conduct and Safeguarding policies.
-Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the community.
-Participate in supervision and reflect on interpersonal dynamics within the therapeutic relationship.
-Uphold data protection legislation and service user confidentiality agreements.
-Provide a full range of services in an outreach and in-reach capacity.
-Work flexibly across operational sites, including evenings and weekends.

About You:
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities and qualifications:
-Work experience in a similar sector, particularly in substance misuse or recovery support.
-Compassion and kindness to provide effective support and care to service users.
-Resilience to handle challenging situations and maintain a positive outlook.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
-A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
-Driving licence essential for this role.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band.
