Join Our Team as a Claims Specialist in Nuneaton! Are you experienced in claims handling and ready for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity awaits you to join our corporate services team as a Claims Specialist in Nuneaton. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting our UK & IE Claims Department by efficiently logging claims and gathering essential information to facilitate smooth claims handling processes. Salary: £30k-£33k per annum depending on experience Location: Nuneaton/Hybrid Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5 per week What will you be doing?

  • Assist with a variety of claims, including cargo, EL, PL, property, and motor/fleet activities, by creating and updating claim files.
  • Skilfully manage the electronic comprehensive Claim Files creation and gather all necessary Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims, maintaining a high standard of efficiency.
  • Engage with claimants to ascertain the cause and extent of loss, while ensuring the completeness of documentation.
  • Collaborate with local and global insurers to log claims and oversee their progression to resolution.
  • Keep clients informed with regular updates as required
  • Handle incoming queries promptly and effectively to maintain smooth operations.
  • Efficiently manage the MID database and maintain third-party recourse logs.
  • Check and allocate invoices and payment requests accurately.
  • Evaluate limitations of liability and calculate claims adjustments with precision.
  • Assess subrogation and recourse potentials to maximise claim recovery.

About You:

  • You will possess either previous experience handling EL, PL, Motor/Fleet, and Property Claims or experience in freight forwarding or transport
  • Familiarity with claims procedures and regulations is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, demonstrating excellent computer skills.
  • Display a disciplined, organised approach to work, capable of handling time and financial pressures effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail.
