Summary
Responsibilities specific to this IT Lead role: To be knowledgeable and experienced with departmental IT systems, particularly Digital Pathology and LIMS systems, alongside Dragon and digital dictation software. Maintain an up-to date knowledge of IT developments pertaining to the Cellular Pathology department. To take a lead in providing Digital IT solutions within department To interrogate IT systems to provide data in support of quality, audit, management, research and financial requirements To analyse and present data in a clear, concise, user-friendly format Implement use of IT systems to ensure a full audit trail for digital image tracking and recording allied departmental activities Provide training and advice in the use of departmental digital IT related hardware and software Represent the Cellular Pathology department at Pathology IT meetings To take a key role in the development and implementation of Vantage workflow management system and to ensure appropriate interfacing with Pathology LIMS and IMS. To liaise with Pathology & Trust IT teams, LIMS and Digital Pathology providers where appropriate. Provide training, support and advice for digital imaging including macroscopic and microscopic specimen photography and image and to advise on issues of IT compatibility Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this post.
