Summary
Duties, Skills, and Responsibilities:
• Excellent understanding of cooking with Tandoori dishes and be able to make good quality naan, roti, tikka, kababs, shashlik etc;
• Working knowledge and familiarities of Indian cuisine menus;
• Prepare and cook tandoori dishes from raw ingredients;
• Inform head chef about tandoori stocks and utilize them appropriately;
• Cooperate with other chefs in their need and be able to make basic dishes i.e., plain rice, pulao, basic curries such as chicken/meat/lamb curry;
• Basic food hygiene knowledge;
• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins;
• Collaborate with other members at work;
• Supervise, organise and instruct kitchen staff
if necessary, and manage the tandoori section;
• Cooks customers' orders according to their preferences;
• During busy times, such as weekends and evenings, works fast
and consistently.
• Minimum 1 years of experience working in Indian restaurant as Tandoori Chef.
Exemplary standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
• Ability to make good food consistently, even in a busy kitchen
• English language is necessary (minimum IELTS (academic/general) band score 4.5).
