Description
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Placements Manager to join our team. As the Placements Manager - Fostering (Gr 9), you will be responsible for overseeing the placement process for children and young people in foster care. Your role will involve working closely with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for those in the foster care system.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You will be involved in assessing the needs and suitability of foster carers, matching children and young people with suitable placements, and providing ongoing support to both foster carers and those in care.
Responsibilities
Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers
Matching children and young people with suitable foster carers
Coordinating the placement process, including liaising with social workers and other professionals
Ensuring that all placements are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Providing support and guidance to foster carers throughout the placement
Monitoring the progress and well-being of children and young people in care
Collaborating with other teams and agencies to provide a holistic approach to foster care
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
Experience working in a foster care setting
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Strong assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £32.16
