We will support you to inspire the learning of our children and young people. In addition to the range of teaching and other duties outlined in the job specification we are looking for individuals who enjoy working collegiately with colleagues and who have a firm commitment to improving the outcomes for Glasgow's young people through building capacity within our teaching workforce. You should have significant experience in improving outcomes for children, young people and families, raising and maintaining the highest quality of education provision. The post holder will have experience in working with learners with Dyslexia or Dyslexic tendencies. They will show commitment to engagement with current research into Dyscalculia and support evidence based practice within schools to support learners. As a teacher for GDSS you will work city wide and your role will include: • Developing and presenting CLPL on a citywide, area, LIG and Learning Community basis • Gathering data to enable planning for future support and challenge • Quality Assurance processes to ensure improvement • Developing innovative resources using a range of media to support learners. This includes resources for use in schools and for remote learning. • Working in partnership with a range of partners, agencies and 3rd sector • Working collegiately with colleagues in Glasgow schools and modelling a range of approaches and resources across all stages • Contributing to the assessment and identification processes for learners with dyslexia

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with GTCS Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
