Summary

Are you an experienced Night Support Worker who would like to work for a values led organisation?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Night Support Worker with good initiative and great communication skills to join our busy and friendly team in Wakefield.

You will assist in the delivery of a stable and effective programme by the efficient delivery of the day-to-day service. You will support Clients to achieve the outcomes laid out in their Care/Support Plan and also ensure that the security of the service and its surroundings are maintained. Your professional and flexible nature will allow you to positively impact on those who you support and the rest of the team around you, allowing you to flourish and develop in this diverse and rewarding role.

We have a great opportunity available for a Night Support Worker based in Wakefield on a permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key work and support clients generally within your service
  • Provide personal care to identified clients
  • Take an active role in the assessment and management of risk
  • Maintain a clear and calm manner whilst managing client risk
  • Ensure that all medication within the service is managed in line with Trust policy and procedures
  • Manage client meetings and facilitate the Client Inclusion and Training representatives
  • Assist in the management of the referral process within the project to achieve agreed occupancy levels
  • Apply Emergency First Aid response to clients and any other person in the building/grounds

Our Ashdene service is a hostel service and also offers a floating support service in Wakefield. We are a small and friendly team and you would be supported by the management team at the service and have an appropriate induction so you can feel confident in adjusting to a new role, which will include shadowing staff.
