Summary
MEDICAL RECORDS OFFICER (PART-TIME)
We've got a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Medical Records Officer to join our friendly Reservation & Medical Records team at One Hatfield Hospital.
Reporting to the Reservation & Medical Records Lead, the successful Medical Records Officer will be responsible for:
o Creating new clinical records and retrieving existing clinical records by gathering appropriate record folders and contents
o Ensuring clinical records are available for in-patients, day surgery and outpatient clinics
o Inputting and recording locations to computer and diary systems
o Delivering and archiving of records
o Daily filing of all miscellaneous reports, letters etc.
HOURS: part-time (20 hours), Flexible shifts between 07:30 and 19:30, Monday to Friday.
MEDICAL RECORDS OFFICER (PART-TIME)
QUALIFICATIONS
o GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent qualification
EXPERIENCE
o Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
o Previous administration experience in a business/healthcare sector environment.
SKILLS
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
o Excellent customer care skills
o Excellent telephone manner
o Enthusiastic, passionate, and a good team player with a collaborative approach to achieving goals
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement
o Energetic, achievement focused and willing to work hard under pressure
o Sound computer skills and confidence in using Microsoft Office Suite
o Organisational skills
