Job Title: Theatre Practitioner Grade: Band 5 Ward/Dept: NOC Theatres Location: Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Windmill Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 7LD Trust: Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Hours: 37.5 hpw Monday-Friday Shift Pattern: 07:45-17:45 Pay Rate: £24.10 The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. We are seeking an eager candidate who is able to provide effective services implementing and evaluating appropriate care plans whilst working in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive the best standard of care. The Trust/Ward/Department Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. The Responsibilities If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on the responsibilities outlined below as well as those not included here, call today to discuss further: Implement and evaluate care plans as appropriate of surgical equipment and patient conditions Monitor an assess patient condition, respond to changes in condition and propose/make changes to care plan as required Delegate and supervise juniors, unqualified and less experienced Work in an MDT following local protocol and standards Awareness of the effective management of resources in the department Participate in clinical trials/research when required Provide leadership model and demonstrate specialist knowledge and high standards of clinical practice and provide support Plan and prepare equipment to needs and procedures To be successful in applying for this role you will need: Relevant degree or equivalent Current relevant professional registration Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience Enhanced DBS UK/NHS experience Experience of working in an MDT Proficient IT knowledge and Microsoft Office skills Job description Job description can be provided upon request.
