Summary
A range of clinical responsibilities including: telephone and face to face consultations repeat prescribing/medication queries Duty Doctor sessions on a rota occasional home visits. You will further be expected to: make professional autonomous decisions about presenting problems assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems screen patients for disease risk and early signs of illness develop healthcare plans with patients in line with disease management protocols refer patients to other care providers as appropriate record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards collect data for audit compile and issue acute and repeat prescriptions in line with national/local prescribing formularies complete all clinical admin in a timely fashion keep abreast of changes to national/local clinical guidelines and protocols, keeping your knowledge and practice up to date.
