Job Title: Dietician Grade: Band 6 Ward/Dept: Dietetics Location: John Radcliffe Hospital, OX3 9DU Trust: Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Hours: 37.5 hpw Monday-Friday Shift Pattern: 8:00-16:00 (flexible working arrangements will be considered) Pay Rates: £21.80 The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietician to join our Dietetics team at John Radcliffe Hospital. The post holder will be working as part of a Multidisciplinary Team to ensure the provision of a high quality service in managing a caseload of relatively complex enteral nutrition support patients. The Trust/Ward/Department Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training, and research. The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury. Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust has a world-class reputation for teaching and research. It provides a wide range of general and specialist services as well as playing a central role in the local community. Being based in the city of Oxford, the hospital is easy to reach and has excellent access to London. The John Radcliffe Hospital is Oxfordshire's main accident and emergency site. The JR provides acute medical and surgical services including trauma, intensive care and cardiothoracic services. It is the largest of the Trust's hospitals, covering around 66 acres, and includes multiple specialist hospitals. The John Radcliffe site also houses many departments of Oxford University Medical School, is home to the George Pickering Education Centre and base for most medical students who are trained throughout the Trust. The Responsibilities If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on the responsibilities outlined below as well as those not included here, call today to discuss further: It is essential for the postholder to be experienced and competent at managing a caseload of relatively complex enteral nutrition support patients. It would be necessary for the Dietitian to attend the role in person in order to be able to work effectively within the MDT. To support junior staff and linking with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. To be responsible for designing individual client-centred treatment plans. To be successful in applying for this role you will need: Relevant qualification or equivalent Current relevant professional registration (HCPC Registration) Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience Enhanced DBS Experience of working within the NHS Experience working within an MDT setting Knowledge of Cerner Millennium (desirable) Person Specification Qualifications Essential Relevant degree or equivalent HCPC Registered Essential Criteria Essential Enhanced DBS In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of Relevant Qualifications Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
