Summary
**Magdalen House. An Allegra Care Home.**
As well as our beautiful care home, we run a 'Dementia Cafe' day centre for the local community.
We provide activities and support for people who join us, and we have a Part-Time vacancy to work in the centre for 18 hours a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays 9am-5pm. The hourly rate starts at £11.44.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a broad programme of social and community-based activities. You will oversee the smooth running of the service and be responsible for quality assurance while ensuring the identified aims of the cafe are met. You will also oversee all associated administration, the support of relevant staff and volunteers, and contribute to the running and ongoing development of the service.
You'll be a real 'people person' and be committed to making our visitors leave with a smile on their face. Getting older at home can be isolating for some, so coming to our day centre keeps people connected with their local community and receive appropriate care and support.
You'll have worked in a day centre or care environment before so when you apply, please tell us why this role appeals to you and how your experience makes you the ideal candidate.
You'll need to have received at least the initial two doses of the Covid vaccination programme to work in our home.
