The site you will be covering a very well known shopping centre in York.

The role:

The Site based HVAC Engineer will be joining a part of a larger team of multi skilled engineers working on static site in Chester on a Prestigious Industrial site carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on any general building maintenance, small installation projects, servicing and repairs.

Main Duties:

• Conducting regular inspections of air conditioning systems to identify any issues or potential problems
• Cleaning or replacing air filters to ensure proper airflow and efficiency
• Inspecting and cleaning condenser coils to maintain optimal heat transfer
• Checking refrigerant levels and topping up if necessary to maintain proper cooling capacity
• Inspecting and tightening electrical connections to prevent electrical issues
• Lubricating moving parts such as motors and fans to reduce friction and wear
• Testing thermostat operation and calibrating as needed for accurate temperature control
• Checking and cleaning evaporator coils to prevent frost build-up and maintain efficiency
• Inspecting ductwork for leaks, damage, or obstructions and repairing as necessary
• Testing system performance and making adjustments for optimal efficiency and comfort
• Responding to air conditioning emergencies and outages to restore cooling quickly and safely
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and documentation for regulatory compliance and future reference.
