Summary

As a result of some recent changes within our Own Brand team, we are looking for a Lead Product & Brand Manager to manage a team of 5 Product & Brand Managers. This Band 5 role is new to our business and is to be based at our Wellingborough Head Office.

There will be some flexibility to work from our other Support Centres (Watford, High Wycombe, & Eccles) as well as some limited home working. The role also comes with a car allowance. More details about this can be discussed at interview.

In this role, you will define & deliver the overarching product proposition for your remit delivering through a team of Product and Brand Managers. You’ll be a custodian for our Own Brands, championing a passion for product, developing and delivering systems and processes to enable market leading brand management

You’ll collaborate with the stakeholders in the category and range teams to create the strategic plan for each commercial area, as well as mentoring, inspiring and building a team of brand professionals collaborating across the organisation.

Developing & driving a future overarching strategic plan for your remit that feeds into & compliments the product, category and own brand plans.

Use insight and data to build commercial plans that deliver step change in performance

Supporting the strategic planning process for categories, building pipelines and platforms for growth.

Keeping updated with trends in product & packaging, competitor activity & market dynamics & sharing with the team.

Regularly working with the Tesco and Booker insights team to understand macro market trends. Actively using the insight to translate into actions.

Working with our catering/retail teams to be the expert voice of the customer within the Own Brand team.

Leading a team of Product and Brand Managers – to manage their development and performance

Develop processes that are fit for purpose and the future. Using group processes where appropriate.

Being an advocate for Booker brands, sharing expertise and passion for product though actively participating in events and initiatives.

Establish clear project plans and budgets to ensure successful delivery (pro-actively managing risk)

Managing the relationship with our partners (eg design agencies, repro houses, insight agencies)

Monitor and drive the performance of own brands across all metrics

People management of the team, including performance management, career development and Every Voice Matters output
